Lighting set up

Having thought about the set up for the shoot, I have put together a diagram as a basis for the shoot that I have planned. Main thing that I want is to keep it nice and simple. Using a big soft box or a an octolight, if I can get my hands on one as a large soft light. Then will use a strip light as a backdrop light, to make it flat and consistent, getting rid of the shadows from the subject.

I have come to this set up from listening to the musicians work and speaking to him about his style and ideas. When asking him what sort of theme or look he wants for the photos, he said “if Ikea was a photo” so I want it to be inspired by that to a degree. Simple and clean.
